1974 Ducati 750 Sport       SOLD

ENGINE # 755928
FRAME # 755838

This original paint 1974 Ducati 750 sport is a very original example with few changes since being built in 1974. The original owner sold it in 1976 to a gentleman who owned it until last year when I acquired it. The bike sat in proper dry storage from about 1987-2017 with the engine being turned over regularly. I do have a copy of the previous title as well as a current one in my name that matches the engine number.

Currently the bike will need serviced to be up and running again. Just to be clear it is currently not running though no effort has been made to get it running. It has good compression and the steel fuel tank is pretty good / dry inside. 100% of the paintwork is original as well as the Gran Turismo fuel line and all fasteners. This is a not a perfect restored Ducati but rather one that has remained un-restored and original with some light patina. It will need at the very least the front brake redone, carbs and petcocks rebuilt and fresh oils to be enjoyed again.

There is no case damage or broken or bent cylinder head fins. Both rims appear correct, original and in round free of dents or curbing. The seat is still soft and the original cover very nice but less than perfect. Everything about the bike appears to be straight and factory built. I have an original parts catalog, owners manual and partial toolkit with bag that came with the bike originally. All electrics, battery box rubber, instruments and lenses appears original as well.

The few items I see that are not from the factory are the handlebar grips, ignition key and the muffler tips were cut off at some point though they are the original Conti silencers.  There is some rust on the center stand that looks like it may have been induced by battery acid since the rest of the frame is so clean and rust free. Also there is some "patina" on the headlamp and clip ons.

I am happy to answer any questions and email more pictures. I would prefer the bike be inspected in person before a deal is made but I know that is not always an option. I am happy to work with international buyers. The bike is located in Simpsonville, SC.

Asking price $39,000 (partial vintage European motorcycle trade possibly considered.)   SOLD
