1981 Ducati Mike
Hailwood Replica.
- SOLD -
I like to refer to it as a
"real" Hailwood to differentiate it from later 80s models that
added weight, a poorer handling frame, and electric start. A
collectible tribute to the original Ducati company.
Bought in 2000 from original owner who is
a Ducati dealer. Bike was kept in his personal collection since new, and was
stored for several years prior to my purchase. The bike is unrestored and an
excellent candidate for "preservation class" and "unrestored" categories of
show entries. I have put about 950 miles on it. I ride it occasionally to
bike shows, special events, etc. New tires and battery. Only 5667 miles.
Registration and import tag shows "1982".
Seller represented received
1982 tag due to import logistics at the
time. Frame and engine number consistent with 1981 model year. See frame and
engine number below.
There is some limited paint checking on
the fairing due to flexing and vibration of the fiberglass over time.
I would be happy to discuss this
outstanding Ducati in more detail.
