1971 Ducati 750 GT For Sale
Sand Cast Round Case Ducati

This bike is a genuine survivor, un restored, original bike with excellent original patina.

Two owners, it has been in my collection for 25 years. Extremely rare these days, and in the day as well. Only 400 sand casts ever made, with who knows how many left? Not many, as the motors were always stronger than a production GT, thus a lot were used up in racing, making these survivors even rarer.

Bike was repainted in the 70’s by the previous owner, who had the metal flake paint job done by the same painter that also painted Evil Knivels bikes (cost a fortune, I was told) The fibreglass tank and paint are undamaged and still in perfect original to mint condition. INOX stainless guards front and back in excellent condition. Correct Marzocchi leading axle front with 3 ball Marzocchi shocks on the rear. Correct single Lockheed with solid disk on front, correct rear polished drum brake on rear. Correct front end and perfect alloy Boranni rims front and rear, 4403 front, and 4626 rear.

Motor is in excellent running order, with correct Amal carbs.

Bike has just had serviced by noted Sydney bevel builder, with new battery, new fluids and the front brake seals all replaced. Bike starts, runs and goes very well, as all Ducati’s do. Bike is unregistered. All lights work, Aprilia 3 greyhound headlight, all idiot lights work, although a couple of them are showing some wear/ loss of chrome. Correct and excellent Smith’s clocks complete the excellent and original bars, with working Aprilia switchgear. The motor I don’t think has ever been apart, but it is missing its seal. Two drilled Allen screws are still in the seal spot, so I assume as my mechanic does, that the seal just fell off or was knocked off as sometimes does happen. The bike carries its original headers and crossovers in excellent condition, the Conti’s are original, with the odd small/little dent , but all the same they are in great original shape, with perfect patina. Motor is started with extremely rare and original L kicker. Verlicchi hand grips, correct and original seat compliment this extraordinary survivor. Aprilia taillight with good tyres make up this bike. Original key. Black paint on frame is original, in excellent condition, with only very minimal blemishes, the worst would probably be on the swing arm.

Engine # 75027x Frame # 75028x If you would like to talk, more photos, or know anything further on the bike, email me. Extremely rare and original round case sand cast Ducati’s don’t come up often, if ever, so don’t miss out on this one.
