What we
have here is a late 1978 900 Super Sport! This was the year the
went from Blue and silver with wire wheels to Black and gold
with cast mag wheels. There were a few bike that were stuck in
the middle. This is one of those.
Blue and
silver but with gold mags.
The bike
has been in southern California it whole life. Owned by a
gentleman who lived in Canyon Country just outside of Los
Angeles.
He road
the bike often. It now has 39,599 miles on it. At 21,521
miles The motor was freshened up and the heads were ported and
polished at the famous Woods Motor Shop. At 31,640 The motor was
completely rebuilt by Woods Motor shop. The guy who owned
originally loved it and cared for it well.
Most all
the records I have are from Woods Motor Shop starting in 1980
and the last service that I have record of was at ProItalia 0n
3/22/1989. The bike sat for a while. The bike was running great
when I bought it. Now it has been sitting again and needs the
love from some one that will use it.
What ever
they did to the motor it pulls Like a MONSTER! I have only put a
40 or 50 miles on it since I bought it in 2004. I did freshen up
the paint but have done nothing to the motor since it was
working so well when I got it. I also have the two up saddle
and the original shocks. I have too many bike projects.
