1974 Ducati 750GT (did not sell)

Engine overhaul and chassis restoration was expertly done by Karl Engellenner.

  • Complete engine overhaul, crankshaft was pressed apart and sludge trap cleaned.

  • Rod rollers and wrist pin bushings replaced, reassembled and trued.

  • All engine bearings replaced including phenolic cage, angular contact ball bearing mains and the needle bearings for the cam/distributor drive bevel and the needle bearings in the output gear.

  • The bevel drive bearings were all replaced along with cam bearings.

  • Rocker arms sent to Rocker Arms Unlimited for re-welding and grinding.

  • Rocker bushings replaced. Valves and guides replaced with superior Kibblwhite items and springs updated.

  • Cylinders were bored and fitted with Ducati 750 GT replica pistons from JE Pistons.

  • Pistons were made identical in shape and top configuration as original Borgo’s but using a better ring pack made from a more durable alloy.

  • Engine was reassembled using Athena gasket & seal kit.

Frame powder coated

New Chrome (entire exhaust system)

All new cables

New sprockets & chain

Dyna-S digital electronic ignition was installed replacing points and condenser.

Carbs rebuilt & K&N filters added.

Complete new wiring throughout with a new fuse panel added.

Beautiful paint work was done by Bobby Wyan of Wayn’s Body Shop in S. Sacramento.

This was Karl's personal Ducati and he completed the restoration in 2018. The current owner bought it at that time and has ridden it approx 2500 miles since then. The oil has been changed twice during that time, no warning signs in the oil etc. This bike looks, runs, rides flawlessly. Current California title and registration in owner's name. The bike is located in Sacramento, California.
