THIS BIKE SOLD IN 11 HOURS

This Sport is being offered for sale by the current (and 2nd) owner.  Bevel Heaven owner Steve Allen will be handling all aspects of this transaction on behalf of the gentleman who owns it.  Steve has known the owner (and bike) for about a decade and can and does attest to it's high condition and originality. It is in very good condition but is not perfect, as this bike has been ridden throughout it's life...  It is not a trailer queen.  This fine example of a 750 Sport has a clean California title and current CA registration.  Below is the text that the owner has provided pertaining to this bike.

****************

This will verify my intention to offer for sale my antique motorcycle.  Attached is a description of the bike and a summary of significant events during my ownership spanning 28 years.

History of the vehicle
I am the second owner of this cosmetically restored machine. I purchased it from TT Motors in Berkeley, California in December 1984.

It is an award winning machine, having received Junior and Senior status awards, in addition to Best European Entry at Antique Motorcycle Club of America (AMCA) meets, as recently as June 2012. It was granted Winner's Circle status at that time, receiving 96 points.

Disclosures
The following paragraphs reflect my awareness of strengths vs. problems in specific systems of the motorcycle.

1. Engine and Running Gear:  The bike has always started immediately and runs well. The engine cases have never been split. there is no exhaust smoke and it shifts smoothly.

2. Carbs:  I obtained a Del Orto rebuild kit in June 2007. it became evident to me quite quickly, that this would be a complicated procedure. I elected to seek out the internationally recognized expertise of Ducati Wizard Steve Allen, to perform this task. The excellent result justified this decision.  New 'Cavis Benz' fuel lines have just been added.

3. Paint: The bike has been painted three times during my ownership. February 1985, early 1990's, and May 2012 we redid the tank as there was a small blemish that had bugged me for years.

4. Upholstery: The original solo seat leather was worn and split and was replaced in 1990. The tumbler lock for the solo seat cowling space/storage area is loose.

5. Side/Center Stand: I acquired and installed a 'jiffy' side stand (oem ducati 750) which is pictured in the original parts manual. The bike has never fallen to the ground and is now more manageable using the side stand for brief periods of time.

6. Exhaust System: The transversal tube, as it is called in the Italian parts manual, (I would call this the cross-over or equalizer pipe), is a bit corroded and will need re-plating at some point.

7. Spares: I seized the opportunity to purchase a set of NOS Conti mufflers, things of beauty, that are still in their factory boxes.

8. Manuals/magazines/brochures: These are "Sport specific" publications, many with glossies, road tests, and technical data. They contain laudatory remarks in praise of this type of motorcycle.
