| This is
Ducati BOSCH ignition pickup tool #88713.0131 - I recently acquired
this - actually, I got 2 of them but there is a problem. On one
of them, the rotor is loose, the other is tight.
Q1: How do I setup the rotor so that I can accurately check & adjust [if needed] the pickups? Q2: What is the best way to check/adjust the pickups using this tool? My manual is not very clear. It suggests to hold the pickups in contact with the special tool [for installation] then says to "check that between the bottom of each notch of the special tool and its pick ups there is a clearance of 0.04 to 0.05mm" This is not clear to me. I am not getting something here. No mention of the fact that this rotor that has the 2 notches on it can rotate..... |
