This stainless
steel braided brake line kit is for a stock 900SS single line
rear F08 Brembo brake setup [master cylinder to caliper]. Made by
GALFER. It can be used on other models as well. It
replaces the stock rubber hoses - 1 ea
#797.41.438
This kit replaces
your stock Ducati rubber hoses 1 ea #797.41.438 - items # 8, 9
& 23 from the manual below. It can also be used for the SSD Darmah,
SD Darmah or Sport Darmah if you bypass the stock splitter and add
a brake switch item #22 which I also stock. It is available with a black
cover [shown] or a clear cover [see below].
The line goes between the master cylinder
and the F08 caliper. Please
see the image from the 900SS parts manual below.
Each kit comes with what you
see above - 1 line, 2 stainless banjo bolts and 4 crush washers.
-> Please note: we
have made this kit longer than original because we found that
the line was so stiff that it would crack the original fragile
fiberglass. You simply take this line and route it from the
caliper forward along the top of the swinging arm, loop it to
the right and up to the master cylinder - use a zip tie to
loosely secure the line to the bottom of the battery tray.
The line goes above the swinging arm pivot.
