This is my clutch
case extractor tool. It is completely different and BETTER
than the factory tool. The idea is that you take off the
crank plug and screw in the tool which butts up against the crank
and forces the cover straight off. You don't want to
wiggle-wobble the cover off as the crank rides in a bush in the
case and wobbling will oval-ize this bush.
My tool is similar
as it does the same job, but it does it better. You back off
the bolt in the middle then screw in the 'plug' to the cover then
lock it down. Now you tighten up the bolt which pushes the
cover off the engine. Notice the end of the bolt - there is
a round disk which swivels and rotates so you won't mar the end of
your crank. The stock tool puts HUGE pressure on the threads
of your case.... This takes care of all possible problems,
making it easy to pull your cover without a hitch.
This tool replaces 5
original factory big fat bolt tools - it works on roundcase and
all squarecase bevel drives as well as narrowcase and widecase
singles!!!! Includes a new crush washer for your plug as well. |
