Hi. I am in the process of restoration on a 74 750 gt. The bike has sat for 17years. The oil looks clean and there is about 8300 miles on the clock. Should I flush the engine or is a simple drain and oil change sufficient for first start up. Do you think the oil is clean because all the sludge has settled out of it? Thanks for the help.

Drain it and stick your finger in the strainer hole and see how much muck is on the bottom of the sump.If it was sitting in a mild environment you might be lucky.
