1982 Ducati SD900 Darmah For Sale
cheap - needs work

This is a pretty clean project bike ready for a new home, I am never going to get to it.  It needs to have the motor rebuilt as there is a knocking sound when it runs.  Pulling the front jug I was able to wiggle the connecting rod so we assume the crank needs to be rebuilt.  We buttoned things back up with a new set of rings, new gaskets etc. and into storage it went.

The original plan when I bought the bike a few years ago, was to pull the motor and send it off for a rebuild then sell the bike on to someone who would finish up the project.  The bike has sat for a couple years as I never seemed to find the time to drop the motor out so I could get it to someone.....

The bike has original Conti mufflers and the PO changed the original carbs out for PHF36 Dellortos. As you can see it is all there, including turn signals and the lead seal on the bottom of the motor.  There is a tear in the back part of the seat cover as you can see and, a small notch was ground out of the left side cover to provide clearance for the carb.  Interesting thing about those contis, they both have the welded seam along the bottom, the left side logo is crooked as expected, the right side has no oval around CONTI and there are 2 different part #s stamped into it.  The bike has the original FPS mags and the 2 piece & drilled 6 bolt cast iron rotors.

When I decided to pull it out from my storage so I could take photos, I was disheartened to find that the front master cylinder had begun to leak and melted a bit of the paint on the otherwise perfect tank (see photo).  The bike has covered 23K miles.

This bike is located in Concord, California.

Sold As Is / Where Is with a bill of sale and signed off Arizona title so it can be exported out of the country without any drama.
