Ducati 250 Mach 1 For Sale
This is a very
rare and hard to find Ducati 250 Mach 1. The bike is in original
unmolested and un restored condition and is in the hands of its
second owner since 2004. Built in either 1964 or 1965, its
first registration was made in Germany 1966 by the original
Italian owner. The bike currently has a German registration and
is street legal. If you are interested a more comprehensive
history of the bike and its story will be provided.
All Mach 1
specific parts are there: tank, mudguards, kick start lever,
rear-set, heel and toe shifter, Dell’Orto SSI29, clip-ons, a
Veglia Competizione tachometer and a side stand. Additionally
you will receive the original Ducati racing megaphone and a
racing number plate replica.
The following
restoration/maintenance was done:
Cylinder head
re-done (valves, guides, seats)
Electrical system
and alternator renewed
Piston, cylinder
and seals are done
Steering head
bearing new
Forks cleaned and
new seals installed
Rear shocks
overhauled
Swing arm and
bearing refreshed
Seat new in real
leather
The only low point
is that the kick-start mechanism (within the engine) is weak, a
typical flaw of the engine design and if one wants to have it
perfect it would need to be replaced.
