1973 Ducati 750 Sport
SOLD
(titled as a 74)
18,981 original miles.
Engine # 75296X Frame # 75324X
1st owned by Atlas Cycle in Oklahoma who installed the half
fairing on this and two other 750 Sports they had in inventory.
Now the 3RD owner since 1996.
Always properly stored. This is owned by a rider, not a garage
queen. The 18981 miles on the odometer are original. Fresh tune,
fresh fluids always had non ethanol fuel in the tank. This has
been part of a 30 plus bike collection and has never seen the
light of the internet. The bike has never been raced, crashed or
down.
748cc round-case L-twin with Dell’Orto induction and a 5-speed
gearbox. Factory AP Lockheed front caliper and single disc.
The 748cc round-case L-twin was developed by Fabio Taglioni.
Compared to the 750 GT on which the bike is based, the Sport
specification features a higher compression ratio, larger
carburetors, and freer-flowing heads. Each of the overhead
camshafts are driven by a set of bevel gears, and traditional
valve springs are utilized. Ducati twins would not adopt
Desmodromic valve train until the release of the 750SS in 1974.
Black side cases were installed by the factory. This is the
original engine that has never been opened. Yes, the valves have
been adjusted and always maintained. Fresh carb rebuild & sync.
These round case 750 Sport
models feature Veglia-Borletti gauges, including a 10k-rpm
tachometer and a 240-km/h speedometer. Borrani aluminum rims
measuring 19” and 18” in diameter are laced to a set of factory
hubs with stainless spokes. The tires are fine but old and would
recommend new tires for safe riding. This has been part of a
very proper collection of Italian collectable motorcycles.
There are no test rides, we will start it for you during your
inspection as the investment is too high. If you are a serious
collector or rider, I am sure you understand. This is a very
rare collectable that has been owned by the correct adult rider
for years.
All records since 1996, always serviced and stored in a proper
humidity-controlled man cave on
Whidbey
Island, Washington State USA. Clean title and registration for
easy export.
Asking $32,000.00 serious only please. Very rare opportunity.
