1974 Ducati 750GT (did not sell)
Engine
overhaul and chassis restoration was expertly done by Karl
Engellenner.

Complete engine overhaul, crankshaft was pressed apart and
sludge trap cleaned.

Rod
rollers and wrist pin bushings replaced, reassembled and trued.

All
engine bearings replaced including phenolic cage, angular
contact ball bearing mains and the needle bearings for the
cam/distributor drive bevel and the needle bearings in the
output gear.

The bevel drive bearings were all replaced along
with cam bearings.

Rocker arms sent to Rocker Arms Unlimited
for re-welding and grinding.

Rocker bushings replaced. Valves
and guides replaced with superior Kibblwhite items and springs
updated.

Cylinders were bored and fitted with Ducati 750 GT replica
pistons from JE Pistons.

Pistons were made identical in shape
and top configuration as original Borgo’s but using a better
ring pack made from a more durable alloy.

Engine
was reassembled using Athena gasket & seal kit.
Frame
powder coated
New
Chrome (entire exhaust system)
All
new cables
New
sprockets & chain
Dyna-S
digital electronic ignition was installed replacing points and
condenser.
Carbs
rebuilt & K&N filters added.
Complete new wiring throughout with a new fuse panel added.
Beautiful paint work was done by Bobby Wyan of Wayn’s Body Shop
in S. Sacramento.
This
was Karl's personal Ducati and he completed the restoration in
2018. The current owner bought it at that time and has ridden it
approx 2500 miles since then. The oil has been changed twice
during that time, no warning signs in the oil etc. This bike
looks, runs, rides flawlessly. Current California title and
registration in owner's name. The bike is located in Sacramento,
California.
