1975 Ducati 750 Sport For Sale  SOLD

Offered for sale is my 1975 Ducati Sport with just 11,049 miles from new. Engine # 75596X, frame # 75592X & vin # 75596X

I purchased this motorcycle from the original owner in 1978 when it had approximately 2,000 miles on the odometer.

This is a 98 percent original motorcycle that is in excellent condition having been kept in a heated and air conditioned garage for most of its life. The only non original parts on this motorcycle is the regulator rectifier and the ignition system, which has been replaced with a Lucas Rita electronic system which was developed for the Cosworth DFV formula 1 engine which was the dominate F1 engine in the seventies. The original points, advance mechanism and coils go with the motorcycle.

The regulator rectifier was replaced with an American Voltpac unit when the original quit working.

The handlebar switches are like new having been removed from the bike when I purchased it and replaced with Yamaha dirt bike switches which was a popular modification in the day as the originals were very unreliable. The originals switches were reinstalled when preparing the motorcycle for sale.

The Conti mufflers have no dents or dings but the right one has some battery acid damage from when the regulator rectifier went bad.

The gel coat has some spider cracking which is normal for a 46 year old motorcycle. The paint has minor flaws which is normal for nitrocellulose lacquer paint.

This motorcycle starts in one or two kicks and runs and shifts perfectly. I replaced the clutch friction plates with NOS Surflex plates as the originals were stuck.

The lead seal is in place as the cases have never been separated.

You will not be able to find a nicer un-restored Ducati Sport than this one. Bike is located in Ohio.
